Today’s planned historic 12 race meeting at rosehill gardens has been postponed due to a detection of the EI virus in a horse at Warwick Farm.
Sydney Turf Club officials have stated they are bitterly disappointed particularly on behalf of the Rosehill based trainers who have been sweating on this meet. Unlike Warwick Farm and Newcastle Rosehill based trainers are yet to get a run.
“Our trainers have done such a great job containing this and are now devastated not to be racing today. This is a monumental blow for all concerned” said Michael Kenny, STC CEO.
Sydney Turf Club hope to reschedule this meeting for Rosehill trained horses. In the meantime they have cancelled all staff, food preparation, trains, and buses and are hastily advising all public and guests who were attending today’s historic meet.
