Horses may not be racing in Sydney, but the best events are still at Rosehill Gardens.

Sydney Turf Club is celebrating the Melbourne Cup Carnival with free entry to the course on:

Cox Plate Day - Saturday 27 October
Derby Day - Saturday 3 November
Melbourne Cup Day - Tuesday 6 November.

Already thousands have booked into the hospitality areas on Melbourne Cup Day to enjoy the unique vibe that being at a racecourse brings.

The atmosphere will be electric with live bands, roving entertainers and a fashion search for the 10 best-dressed guys and girls.

Giant screens and over 700 televisions will beam the interstate action on all three days. Dining and snack bars will be fully operational and full betting facilities including TAB and bookmakers will complete your trackside experience.

Gates open at 11.00am on 27 October and at 10.00am on 3 & 6 November.

Leading up to Melbourne Cup Day, Sydney Turf Club will play host to the Emirates Melbourne Cup Tour on Wednesday 24 October. The Club has organised the only public exhibition of the world famous Cup in Sydney during its month-long tour before arriving in Flemington.

See the Melbourne Cup Trophy and meet Cup-winning jockey Greg Hall at Myer - Westfield Parramatta from 12.00pm – 1.30pm.

Sydney Turf Club’s high value functions and events business at Rosehill Gardens will not be affected by the Equine Influenza quarantine, with visitor restrictions applying only to the stable areas, which are well away from any event facility.

Organisers of upcoming events are also keen to ensure their visitors that it’s business as usual. In the coming weeks, Rosehill Gardens will be host two family favourites - the annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic (Sunday 21 October) and Sydney Pet & Animal Expo (9-11 November).
