After eleven months of solid construction by nationally acclaimed construction and property developers Watpac Limited, the Grand Pavilion at Rosehill Gardens Event Centre is gearing up for a grand opening.
To celebrate, Rosehill Gardens will host a “Golden Royale” launch on 9 April 2008. This promises to be an event unrivalled in Australia, combining the pizzazz and prestige of Australia’s iconic Golden Slipper Festival celebrity event with the launch of Sydney’s brand new Grand Pavilion at one event extravaganza.
More than 1,000 people including Sydney's Racing and Social media, racing identities, celebrities, corporate partners, and leaders of Australia's Events, Conference and Exhibition markets are expected to turn out to one of the most spectacular events of the 2008 social calendar.
The Golden Royale will be a night full of glamour, high fashion, celebrities, unveilings, surprise and intrigue. Featuring first class catering and entertainment that will showcase the venue in all its glory, this will be a night the Mice industry will not want to miss.
Rosehill Gardens Events Centre and parent body Sydney Turf Club have appointed highly respected events company Twentyfour-7 Event Solutions to manage the launch spectacular.
“Twentyfour-7 Event Solutions are thrilled and excited to partner with Rosehill Gardens Event Centre for the launch of the Grand Pavilion. To be partnering in the opening of this incredible new space in Sydney is an opportunity that allows us as an event management company to showcase the potential of this new space. With the use of our creative, technical and overall event management expertise we intend to wow the guests with new and innovative concepts never before seen in the Sydney marketplace,” said Joan Loewensohn - General Manager, Twentyfour-7 Event Solutions.
“In conjunction with the team at Rosehill Gardens, the guests will experience a night with first class food and beverage, entertainment and technical components never before seen at an event of this calibre. We bring to the Grand Pavilion the latest in new age technology, a room that will be dressed to impress,” added Joan.
The Golden Slipper Festival at Rosehill Gardens is one of Australia’s most glamorous and high profiled social and racing events, and also sits proudly on the world sporting stage. Attracting more than 50,000 people, the 2008 Festival brings together the elite of fashion, racing and big brands including Sydney Turf Club’s partners AAMI, Myer, BMW and the Daily Telegraph.
“As Sydney gets behind the racing industry now back on its feet after the crippling Equine Influenza outbreak late last year, the media coverage and national support for this year’s Golden Slipper Festival and Autumn Racing Carnival are building to be greater than ever. We could not think of a more impressive and exciting way to launch the Grand Pavilion than to combine the celebrity and prestige of the Australian racing industry with the glamorous Mice industries into one exclusive event. This is an industry first where guests will rub shoulders with celebrities, racing identities, media personalities and industry and corporate leaders. One thing is for sure, we can guarantee an event that will be talked about for some time” said Melinda Madigan – General Manager Sales & Marketing, Sydney Turf Club.
The $30million double storey Grand Pavilion will accommodate up to 2,000-seated guests and offer 6300sqm of space over two levels. Numerous high profile clients including AAMI, Harvey Norman and Johnson & Johnson have already excitedly booked in their next event.
