NSW Minister for Gaming and Racing, Mr Graham West, will officially open the new Members’ facilities at Rosehill Gardens this Saturday, 15 March.
The refurbished Members’ Reserve is part of Sydney Turf Club’s $30 million Grand Pavilion development.
Last week, the Club unveiled Stage One of the project - the Bird Cage Cafe and Cotton Fingers Bar, named in honour of legendary jockey, the late George Moore. An updated room, aptly titled Connections, was also opened last Saturday for the owners and ‘connections’ of
minor-placed horses.
This Saturday, Mr West will officially launch Stage Two of the project, the Grand View Terrace. Located on the second floor of the Members’ Reserve, the terrace offers elevated and expansive views of the course and winning post. The area is designed to offer Members a diverse menu, which can be enjoyed in an open-air dining area with unspoilt views of the racing action.
The third and final instalment of improvements to Member facilities at Rosehill Gardens will be opened on Darley Guineas Day, Saturday 12 April. The highlight of this stage is the new Black Type Bar, a stylish meeting place for Members and thoroughbred owners. Only top shelf wines and spirits will be available, making the Black Type Bar unlike any other offered at a racecourse in Australia.
The Grand Pavilion will be initially used during the NSW Camping, Caravan, 4WD and Holiday Supershow from 29 March to 6 April.
Sydney’s newest event centre will then be centre stage for Sydney Turf Club’s official launch - the Golden Royale on Wednesday, 9 April.
