Sydney Turf Club

Entertainment On & Off the Course at Rosehill

Date: 8/4/2008 -

While the horses will be heating up the track, Sydney Turf Club has engaged some of the hottest acts to provide ongoing entertain between races.

From roving entertainers greeting guests at the entry to Rosehill Gardens to the country’s most popular acts on AAMI Golden Slipper Day, this year’s Golden Slipper Festival promises non-stop action and entertainment.

Following on from Daniel Mifsud’s crowd pleasing performances on Myer Sydney Confidential Ladies’ Day, popular Australian songstress and former Australian Idol star Ricki-Lee will be special guest at Rosehill Gardens on 19 April.

Having just completed a statewide tour, Ricki-Lee will appear at Rosehill Gardens to perform her hit singles before the day’s two signature races – The BMW and AAMI Golden Slipper. The Gold Coast singer will also perform the national anthem prior to the running of the world’s richest race for two-year-olds.

Keeping in the party theme, The Potbelleez will perform as a four-piece group including Irish born DJs Dave Goode and Jonny Sonic and vocalists MC Blu and Ilan Kidron.

The Potbelleez are relishing in the success of their breakthrough single “Don’t Hold Back” which has topped ARIA’s club and dance charts. Their catchy tunes have taken the music scene by storm, featuring on a host of TV programs including So You Think You Can Dance and Australia’s Next Top Model.
