Faces of Spring Racing Carnival announced

Sydney Turf Club is pleased to announce its faces of the 2008 Spring Racing Carnival: Laura Dundovic and Bridgette Kirk.
With the Carnival promising three days of glorious racing, fine dining and the latest fashion, Laura and Bridgette have been engaged to help spread the word – spring racing is back in Sydney!
Both girls starred in a fashion shoot at Rosehill Gardens this week, showcasing some of Myer’s new spring range.
Laura Dundovic has just returned to Sydney, having represented Australia in the Miss Universe pageant where she staged a Top 10 finish. A keen race-goer with an eye for fashion, Laura will be a guest judge at the Myer Fashions on the Field competition at Rosehill Gardens on 13 September.
“There’s no better time to get dressed up than a day at the races,” Laura said.
“I am looking forward to seeing what the new season fashion brings but I’m expecting two main trends to emerge, bright dresses which capture the essence of spring and also hot little metallic numbers.”
Bridgette Kirk, girlfriend of celebrity TV chef Jason Roberts, has grown up with a passion for horses. Residing in the Sydney CBD, she is a full-time model, actor and television presenter for Fuel TV (Foxtel). Bridgette will attend Tooheys New Golden Rose Day on 30 August and will help entertain guests at the Club’s Golden Rose Racing Lunch.
“The Spring Carnival not only means all things fashion, food and glamour but it takes me back to my teenage years of family getaways to the country riding horses,” Bridgette said.
The Spring Carnival will see the best horses in Australia vie for more than $3.6 million in prize money over three Saturdays:
