What time do the gates open?

Gates open at 11.00am on Saturdays at Rosehill Gardens and weekday meetings at Canterbury Park. On Golden Slipper Day gates open at 9.00am. For Night Racing meetings at Canterbury Park gates open at 6.00pm.

How much is it to get in?

General Admittance for Adults is $12.00 for all Midweeks and Saturdays  (except feature meetings).  Night Racing entry is $7.00. Children under 18 are free of charge when accompanied by a responsible adult. Entry for pensioners is $4.00.

Who is entitled to concession entry?

Concession tickets are available to the following: aged pension, disabled pension and carer's pension. Free entry is available to all returned service men and women, war widows and disabled war veterans. To purchase a concession ticket, a valid pension card must be presented at the ticket window.

What entitlements do I have as an owner?

As an owner you are entitled to 2 enclosure passes and 2 member's guest passes free of charge.  Additional member's guest passes may be purchased.

Do I need to pre-book my tickets?

There is no need to pre-book tickets (General Admittance), they can be purchased at the gate on the raceday.  However, any raceday hospitality/dining options must be pre booked.  Most venues book out quickly therefore to avoid disappointment visit our Raceday Dining section and book online.

How do I book a Private Suite for the races?

This is an available option, however, the Private Suites are very popular and do book out quickly. We sell the Suites up to 6 months in advance. Minimum numbers are 20 guests - maximum 25 guests and packages start at $100.00 per person. For further information please telephone the Sales Office on 1300THERACES or email.

What food can I bring in?

Due to Club policy, perishable or processed foods intended for group consumption such as meats, seafood, salads, dips, dairy products cakes and sandwich/fruit/vegetable platters will not be allowed to be brought in to the course.  However, guests are welcome to bring in the following food for personal consumption only such as individual sandwiches, individual packs of processed cheese, dip spreads and biscuits, pieces of fruit, special individual dietary needs foods and individual drinks including small flasks of tea or coffee.

Large groups are permitted to bring in sealed packets of chips, nuts, biscuits, pieces of fruit and individual pieces of cake.

Can I bring a fold up chair?

Fold up chairs are not permitted on course.

How do I catch the train to Rosehill?

Rosehill Station is on the Carlingford line. If you are traveling from western Sydney or city central you will need to change trains at Clyde station to take a raceday train up the Carlingford line to Rosehill Station.

Can I park my car at the races?

Yes, parking is free at both Rosehill Gardens and Canterbury Park racecourses.  Public parking is located in the infield off Unwin St, Rosehill and King St, Canterbury.  

Are disabled parking facilities available?

Yes, limited spaces are available in P1 (off Grand Avenue) and P3 (off James Ruse Drive).

Where is lost property?

Lost property is held at the Canterbury Administration Office and enquiries can be made by calling 9930 4000.

Can I hold my bucks party at Rosehill Gardens?

Large groups of racegoers will not be permitted entry in to the course. These groups include bucks days, sporting groups and end of season football celebrations.
