Can I bring guests with me to the races?
Yes, as a Sydney Turf Club Member you are entitled to bring guests with you to any race meeting held by the Club.
There are two ways to do this:
One option is to purchase an Annual Guest Card, which allows your guest entry to the racecourse and Members' Reserve. This card is fully transferable, so that you can bring different guests with you each time. (Please note that the Guest Card holder is not considered a Member of Sydney Turf Club, and therefore does not have any STC Membership rights).
The second option is to purchase a Daily Guest Ticket for a particular race meeting. To purchase these tickets, you must present your guest at the Raceday Ticket Office and have them sign the Guest Register.
Daily Guest Tickets (prices excluding Golden Slipper Festival and Spring Carnival) are $24 for Members' Reserve and $11 for racecourse entry (ie: a total of $35). Daily Guest Tickets can also be pre-purchased through the Membership Department prior to the race meeting.
As a Sydney Turf Club Member, you can bring as many guests with you to a race meeting as you like. However, limits do apply during the Golden Slipper Festival.
What does a Car Pass entitle me to?
A Car Pass entitles you to park in the Members' Only car parks at Rosehill Gardens and Canterbury Park. Members should note however that a Car Pass does not guarantee a car space. There is a large amount of public parking that is free of charge at Rosehill Gardens and Canterbury Park, which is also available to Members who do not purchase a Car Pass. Upon purchase of an annual car pass, Members are permitted to park within the Members’ Only Car Parks at both racecourses.
At Rosehill Gardens, Members can park in the following areas:
At Canterbury Park, Members can park in the following areas:
To gain access to these areas, Members must display their Car Pass on their front car window in a visible location. Members are reminded that the ownership of a Car Pass does not guarantee a parking space
Do I need to have two existing Sydney Turf Club Members propose and second my application for Membership?
No. If you do not know two existing STC Members, you can simply include the details of two professional or personal referees who can verify that you are a suitable candidate for Membership.
Of course, if you do know two STC Members, they can certainly act as your proposer and seconder.
I have applied for Membership and sent through my payment. What happens next?
Once an application and payment has been lodged, your application will need to be approved by the Sydney Turf Club Board of Directors. Once approved, your Membership card will be forwarded to you within 1-2 weeks. Should you wish to attend any race meetings whilst your application is being processed, please contact the Membership Department for the issue of an interim Membership letter.

What do I do if I have lost my Membership card/s?
The loss or theft of Membership or Guest Cards must be reported to Sydney Turf Club Membership Department as soon as possible.
A replacement card will be issued once the Member has submitted a statutory declaration explaining the circumstances of the loss.
A replacement fee of $50 per item is also required with the declaration. The $50 fee will be waived if a copy of a police report accompanies the statutory declaration lodged.
What do I do if I have forgotten my card/s on a race day? If you forget to bring your Membership card on a raceday, you will be required to pay the racecourse entry fee and then proceed to the Raceday Ticket Office. There you will be asked to provide suitable identification, upon which a temporary Members’ pass will be issued to you for the day.
Is my Membership card transferable - can I let someone else use it? All Members’ cards are strictly non-transferable. The lending of a Membership card to a non-member for use is a serious breach of Sydney Turf Club protocol.
All Members must take adequate care to ensure their Membership card is not misused.
Membership cards include a signature panel on the back, and random signature checks are conducted within the Members’ Reserve.
Lending Membership cards in order to purchase daily Members’ Guest passes is also strictly prohibited, and signatures must be matched between the Members’ Card and the Guest Register
How does STC monitor behaviour in the Members' Reserve?
Members are asked to respect the comfort and enjoyment of patrons within the Members’ Reserve at all times. Any inappropriate or offensive behaviour may result in the offender being removed from the racecourse.
Members are also reminded that they are responsible for the behaviour of their guests whilst in the Members’ Reserve.
Are children allowed in the Members' Reserve?
Children 17 years and under are admitted into the Members’ Reserve free of charge on race days, provided they are accompanied by an adult.
Those under the age of 14 must be neatly dressed at all times.
Children 14 years and over must abide by the Members’ dress regulations (please refer to dress regulations above).
I have changed address - who do I contact?
If your address, phone number, fax number or email address change, you are required to notify Sydney Turf Club Membership Department as soon as possible.
These changes can be made here or contact the Membership Department on (02) 9930 4002, Fax (02) 9930 4046 or Email members@stc.com.au
How do I obtain information on STC Sponsorship?
Sponsorship of individual races or whole racedays are an effective way for organisations to target specialised audiences and gain exposure within varied markets.
For further information regarding sponsorship with Sydney Turf Club, please contact our Sponsorship Manager on (02) 9930 4000.
What is Trackside Magazine?
‘Trackside’ magazine is the official journal for Members of Sydney Turf Club.
The magazine is published quarterly, and informs Members of various racing events, functions, special offers and other important information pertaining to their Membership. To view the latest Trackside online click here.
In addition to Trackside publication, an electronic newsletter is distrubuted to Members who have provided their email address on a monthly basis.
Reciprocal Rights with other Racing Clubs
Members are to proceed to the enquiry office of the reciprocating club upon entering the racecourse and will be asked to present their current Sydney Turf Club Members Card.
They may in addition be asked to sign a register. A Members’ Reserve Pass will then be made available.
Admission to the racecourse must be paid when obtaining any reciprocal privileges. It is not incumbent upon a reciprocating Club to extend this privilege to anyone accompanying a Member. However, most Clubs also provide the facility to purchase additional Passes for guests.
Members should also be aware that some Clubs impose special conditions on feature race meetings.
It is advisable for Members to contact the particular Club they may wish to visit to ascertain their privileges and conditions.
Letter of Introduction
Sydney Turf Club will be pleased to assist Members who may be travelling overseas with letters of introduction to Clubs other than those with which specific reciprocal arrangements exist.
To obtain a letter of introduction, please contact the Membership Department and advise them of the Club/s you intend to visit.
