To be run at Rosehill Gardens, Saturday 4th April 2009 over 1,200 Metres.
Prizemoney to be not less than $3,500,000 plus trophies.
Prizemoney will be distributed as follows:
Nomination of Yearlings (first payment): Horses to be entered when yearlings (subject to provision for "Late Entry" of Two-Year-Olds-see later; before 3pm Tuesday 1st July 2008. Entry Fee $350 inc GST
First Acceptance: First acceptance fee of $500 inc GST to be paid before 3pm Tuesday, 7th October 2008.
Second Acceptance: Second acceptance fee of $1,000 inc GST to be paid before 3pm Tuesday, 3rd February 2009.
Late Entry of Two-Year-Olds: Entries of Two-Year-Olds not qualified under these conditions may still be received up to 11am on Monday 30th March 2009, on payment of a "Late Entry" fee of $150,000 (which includes the final acceptance fee).
Final Acceptance: Final Acceptance fee of $30,000 to be paid before 10am on Tuesday 31st March 2009. (Final Acceptance Fee and any "Late Entry Fee" paid for any horse rejected to be refunded).
FIRST, SECOND AND FINAL ACCEPTANCE FEES MUST BE LODGED WHEN DUE OR THE GOLDEN SLIPPER ENTRY WILL LAPSE.
NOMINATION AND/OR ACCEPTANCE FORMS AND FEES MUST BE LODGED WITH SYDNEY TURF CLUB OR TRAINER'S SERVICE CENTRE(Trainer's Only) BY THE PRESCRIBED DEADLINE.

1.1 The directors reserve the right, should final acceptances prove too numerous for one race, to run it in two divisions, either on the same day or on different days at their discretion or to reduce the final acceptances to the number of horses which would be run in one race.
1.2 In the case of two divisions, the directors may allocate one division for fillies and one division for colts and geldings, or, depending on the number of each sex, may allocate two mixed divisions. The total prizemoney will be equally divided between the divisions.
1.3 The directors reserve the right to cancel the race and refund all moneys collected if in their opinion nominations are insufficient.
1.4 Entries for the race are subject to the Rules of Racing of the New South Wales Thoroughbred Racing Board by which the nominator agrees to be bound.
1.5 Sydney Turf Club Directors reserve the right to decline any nomination and/or acceptance lodged with Sydney Turf Club or Trainers Service Centre (TSC) from a licensed trainer with outstanding debts from any of the following races: AAMI Golden Slipper, The BMW & Tooheys New Golden Rose.
2.1 Subject to clauses 2.3, 2.4 and 2.5, should it become necessary to reduce the number of acceptors, the excess horses shall be rejected, commencing with the horses which, at final acceptance time, have received the lowest amount of prizemoney.
2.2 For the purposes of this clause 2, "prizemoney" includes the advertised value of any trophies.
2.3 In determining prizemoney no account shall be taken of:
(a) appearance moneys, incentive payments, breeders’ bonuses, starters’ rebates or starters’ bonuses;
(b) any payment in connection with a race that was not available to all horses that were eligible to be nominated for such race;
(c) the value of any stallion service won in connection with a race; or
(d) prizemoney acquired by any horse in connection with a race restricted at the time of initial nomination to horses sold at a particular sale or sales, or horses bred, trained or sold in a particular region or state.
2.4 The winners of the following races are exempt from the rejection provisions in clause 2.1:
2.5 The directors, in their absolute discretion, may exempt any horse or horses from the rejection provisions in clause 2.1 and may select emergencies and determine their priority.
2.6 The final acceptance fee and any late entry fee paid for any horse rejected will be refunded.
3.1 Should any horse be accepted for and included in the field for this race, such horse (including emergencies offered a start) shall not be permitted to be withdrawn unless express permission be obtained from RacingNSW Stipendiary Stewards.
As an added incentive for owners, payment of the 2009 AAMI Golden Slipper entry fee of $350 will also mean your horse is automatically entered for another feature event which will be conducted by the Sydney Turf Club in the Spring of 2009.
Known as the $1 Million 3YO Golden Rose (1400m), this exciting race will be run at Rosehill Gardens in September, 2009.
PLEASE NOTE, YOUR 2009 $1 MILLION 3YO GOLDEN ROSE ENTRY REMAINS VALID EVEN IF THE GOLDEN SLIPPER NOMINATION LAPSES AT THE FIRST, SECOND AND/OR FINAL ACCEPTANCE STAGE.
