All Up and Parlay

There are two ways to have a bet at Rosehill Gardens and Canterbury Park - with the TOTE or with a BOOKMAKER. Bookmaker betting is easy. Bookmakers will display their dividends prior to the commencement of a race. Simply go up to the Bookmaker of your choice, tell them the number of the horse you wish to back, how much you wish to bet and the type of bet you want.

Bookmakers at Rosehill Gardens and Canterbury Park will offer either WIN or EACH-WAY dividends. In an Each-way bet you will receive one quarter of the WIN dividend if your horse runs second or third. eg:

• If you back a horse for a $1.00 WIN at 3.0 you will receive $3.00 if it WINS.
• If you back a horse for $1.00 EACH WAY at 12.0

  If the horse wins you would receive $15.00 ($12.00 for the WIN plus $3.00 for the PLACE.)

  If the horse runs second or third and there are sufficient starters you would receive $3.00 for the PLACE.

If there are 5,6 or 7 runners there is no collect for third placing (excepting late scratchings), however the place component of your Each-way bet (1st & 2nd) will be paid at one third of the win odds. If there are less than 5 runners there is no place betting.

6. Multiple Doubles
7. Field Against the Favourite
8. Favourite Out  

• Remember to check your ticket prior to leaving the Bookmaker stand.
• DON'T DISCARD your ticket until correct weight has been declared.
• You can collect your winnings from the Bookmaker you placed the bet with or from the Bookmakers designated "Pay out area" conveniently located in the betting ring.
