TAB LTD. has introduced an exciting new bet type for on and off course punters.
FIRST 4 requires selection of the first four finishers in correct order.
FIRST 4 is available on all Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide metropolitan meetings and 2 selected First 4 races on all other meetings except overseas events.
For 50 cents a box FIRST 4 will cost $12-00 or if you think you have the winner you can stand out your top choice and box three other picks to run second, third and fourth for $3-00.
Minimum bet is 50 cents and all dividends are declared for $1 dollar.

"ROVER" or "ROVING BANKER" bets are now available on Trifecta, First 4, Exacta and Superfecta pools.
A simple explanation of a "ROVER" bet is that a selection is designated the "ROVER" and will appear in each position of the bet type.
You may also have a "FLEXI-ROVER" bet.
Set out below are some examples of a "ROVER" bet.
Trifecta
2 as the ROVER from 6,7 and 8 gives you the following combinations:-
2/6 7 8 / 6 7 8 6 7 8/2/6 7 8 6 7 8/6 7 8/2
Cost for $1 dollar is $18. Half for 50 cents.
First 4
2 as the ROVER from 5, 6 and 7 gives you the following combinations:-

Cost for $1 dollar is $24. Half for 50 cents.
